Woodstock Ultimate hosts a series of Ultimate Disc pickup games, played on beautiful grassy fields with mountain views. All genders are welcome.

Game Schedule

Saturdays we play at 3:00pm. In the fall/winter months (after Daily Savings Time), we might play an occasionally Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00pm. We also call special games depending upon the available daylight, the weather, and holidays.

Tips for Using Our Sign Up Page

This page lets you sign up for each upcoming game, and even post notes to the group. It's how we build momentum and make sure we have enough people for every game, since attendance can vary greatly. Many folks live outside of Woodstock, and need to know the chances of a game really happening.

If you need to have a certain minimum turnout, sign up and enter a comment like "I need to see 8 players by 4:30pm". If you do bail, please change your signup to "No" at least an hour before the game.

Please do not share our signup link anywhere public. Since our signup doesn't require a login, it would get spammed by bots if ever exposed.

About the Game, and How to Play

Ultimate is a non-contact team sport, originated in 1968, combining some elements of basketball, soccer, and football. The game is fast paced, and quite a cardiovascular and full body workout, but it is also very easy to learn. There are two teams with 3 to 7 players each. Play starts as one team throws the disc to the other. The other team catches the disc, and begins to move across the field toward their goal, tossing the disc between their team members. A player cannot run with the disc, and attempts to throw it to a teammate while the other team tries to block the throw. If the disc is caught by the other team, or falls to the ground, the other team gains possession and tries to work back towards their goal line. A point is scored when the disc is thrown over a team's goal line and caught by a team member. The disc used is a Discraft, Pulsar, Frisbee, or similar disc, with the Discraft being the preferred choice over the traditional Wham-O brand Frisbee.
